Soccer Showcase Review

A Thumbs Up From Me…

To everyone at Soccer Showcase, I would just like to thankyou on behalf of my son for the wonderful week he had at your academy.
He has attended a number of summer soccer schools before, but this was by far the best. From the facilities to the coaches, everything at the academy is first class and the enthusiasm that everyone has for football is inspiring.
Despite being heavy focussed on the professional game, the course coaches made training fun and enjoyable, which is definitely how it should be in my opinion. My son also was provided with a full Nike kit (minus football boots) which he loved, and hasn’t stopped talking about how brilliant the pitches were compared to the ones at our local club.

Thank-you once again Soccer Showcase for giving my son the guidance and encouragement he needs to pursue a future in the game.

Soccer Showcase Reviews

Brilliant for Young Footballers

My son was 12 when he attended the Soccer Showcase Elite Academy and one of the youngest in his group. While I was initially sceptical about the course and not overly keen on parting with my hard-earned money, it turned out to be one of the best things I could have done.
At the end of the academy, my son and I were approached by representatives from Brentford and he is now a part of their youth set-up. I’m not sure how else such an opportunity would have presented itself.
If you’re a parent of a promising young footballer I would definitely recommend enrolling your kids on this course. Not only does it benefit them footballing wise in terms of enhancing their abilities and giving them a taste of professional training, it helps them socially and gives them confidence.

A few words of warning though – only enrol your children in the academy if they are serious about football – not just you. Kids need to possess a certain amount of talent in order to truly benefit from the course, but they also need to love and enjoy the game. A good level of physical fitness is also required as training can get quite intense.

One of Jose Mourinho’s first comments when he introduced himself to the English press after arriving from Porto in summer 2004:

“Please don’t call me arrogant, but I’m European champion and I think I’m a special one.

Soccer Showcase Reviews

Great Coaching, Real Opportunities

I recently attended the Soccer Showcase Elite Training Academy with the hope (like everybody else) of getting scouted by a professional club. For anyone thinking about doing the same I would highly recommend that you do.

Upon attending the academy, I was really impressed by how professionally run the whole thing is. The training facilities are better than anything I have experienced and everything from the kits you are given to the guidance from the coaches makes it as close to life at a professional club as you will experience.
The accommodation would put on par with a Travelogue or something similar – nothing spectacular, but clean with fresh towels and linen.

Training is from Monday to Thursday for 4 or 5 hours a day. I class myself as a fit 20-year-old, but I found the intensity heavy going – if you’re thinking about enrolling make sure you’re in shape.
On the Friday, the group is placed into teams to play in a “showcase event”. This game is attended by scouts and coaches from pro clubs and is where the advice of the Soccer Showcase coaches comes into practice.

Having been luckily enough to play well in the game I was approached by a current League One club and was invited to train with the first team. Sadly, things didn't work out, but this is no fault of Soccer Showcase and I would have never had the opportunity in the first place were it not for this excellent course.
